On graduating with a degree in English Literature, I started my career writing marketing materials for Hiscox, a specialist insurer, before going on to take PMA Training's leading course in journalism.

I then joined Insurance Times as a reporter, which involved writing extensively both for the paper and the magazine's website. I left there in 2003 to join broking firm Willis, where I worked on the editorial aspects of a wide range of internal and external communications.

From there, I joined contract publisher Wardour as editor of Abbey's staff publication, which I relaunched and took on to win the APA's prestigious Best Internal Magazine award. At Wardour I also gained experience working for a number of other clients, including Aon, Dixons, Lloyd's of London, MFI and KPMG.

I joined Lucid Communication, a specialist PR and communications agency, in 2006 to work on writing, editing and PR for a range of City clients.
